Dr. Walter Edward Dukes
Walter Edward Dukes is a Professor of Practice in the Construction Management Technology Program. He holds the following degrees: Bachelor of Science in Technical Education from Alcorn State University; a Master of Science in Industrial
Education from Indiana State University; and a Doctor of Philosophy in Industrial Education from Purdue University. Dr. Dukes has extensive experience with program-specific accreditation with the American Council for Construction Education
(ACCE), chairing accreditation teams at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Boise State University, Eastern Kentucky University, and Central Washington University; accreditation team member at Florida International
University (FIU), Texas A&M University, Louisiana State University, University of Florida, and Central Missouri State University.
Dr. Dukes began his professional career in 1970 as a Construction Educator. He has served as an Instructor, Associate Professor, Professor, Departmental Chair, and Program Director prior to coming to UMES.
