Brief Biography:
Dr. Todd Matthews is an Associate Professor of Social Sciences and serves as the Coordinator of the Organizational Leadership Ph.D. program. Dr. Matthews has taught and served as Coordinator of the Organizational Leadership program since 2012. Previously, he was Interim Associate Dean of the College of Social Sciences at the University of West Georgia, where he also served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology from 2008-2012 and served as Interim Department Chair of the Department of Sociology in 2012. He was also an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Anthropology at LaGrange College from 2006-2008. Dr. Matthews primarily teaches courses on quantitative methodology and its application in the research process in the Organizational Leadership program. He has taught and published social scientific research on a variety of topics including environmental inequalities, poverty and health, civic involvement, trust, and religion (among others). Dr. Matthews has actively served his department, college, university, discipline, and community at each of his places of employment, and truly enjoys being able to lend his expertise towards the betterment of individuals, organizations and communities around him.
