Voice Mail - Leaving Transfer Messages
If you call another subscriber and he or she is not available, your call may be routed to the subscriber's mailbox. If you identify yourself to the system as a subscriber by entering your Personal ID, you can leave the subscriber a message.
Of course, you can leave a message without entering your Personal ID. However, the subscriber receives the message as if it were from an unidentified caller, and will have to enter your extension number to reply to you. Leaving a subscriber-to-subscriber message lets you use features that are not available to unidentified callers.
To leave a subscriber-to-subscriber message
- Call another subscriber
- When you hear the subscriber's greeting, immediately enter your Personal ID and security code.
- Enter 1 to leave a personal message
- If this subscriber left you any new messages, you will get a chance to hear them first. Then, you can record your personal message.
