The academic programs at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore provide students ample opportunity to learn through experience, whether through state-of-the-art facilities, internships with relevant organizations, or partnerships with the community. Students in the child development program are able to observe and work in the Child and Family Development Center in order to have first-hand experience with child development. Students in the Hotel and Restaurant Management Program have opportunities throughout the year to participate in experiential events such as Dinner Theater, Formal Gala, Carnival, the Spring Luncheon Series, and the Gourmet Dinner Series. From a working farm to state-of-the-art laboratories in the Physical Therapy Department, UMES provides hands-on opportunities for students to apply their learning. The links below provide additional information about some of the facilities and opportunities at UMES.
