Fresh Cadaver Dissection Workshop
Lower Leg, Ankle, Subtalar, & Midtarsal Joints
Description:
This workshop is designed to provide the participants with the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with dissection of fresh cadaver specimens. The workshop will consist of both lecture and dissection with the focus on the neuromusculoskeletal and vascular structures of the lower leg, ankle, subtalar, and midtarsal joints. The workshop intends to promote understanding of the intricate structures which form the anatomical basis of the complex functions that the foot and ankle must perform related to rigidity and flexibility. This will enhance the physical therapists examination skills of the ankle/foot. The intended audience is physical therapists and athletic trainers.

|
Objective:
To improve and expand on the participant’s knowledge of the anatomy and function of the neuromusculoskeletal and vascular structures of the lower leg, distal tibiofibular, ankle, subtalar, and midtarsal joints as a basis for physical therapy examination and intervention.

|
Workshop Highlights:
- Fresh cadaver specimens, two participants per specimen
- 60% of the course will be hands-on dissection
