Worship, Song and Dance Part of Revival and Concert
PRINCESS ANNE, MD - Three evenings of activities are lined up December 9-11 as part of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Gospel Choir's annual revival beginning at 7 p.m. in the Ella Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center. A concert at 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, is the crowning event.
Open Mic Night kicks off the revival on Tuesday, December 9. According to Amma Debrah, president of the Gospel Choir, members of the campus community and the general public are invited to come prepared with a song of praise, dance, poem or words of inspiration and encouragement to share.
Wednesday, December 10, a student body forum is to be held. Area preachers will be on hand to entertain questions about life and daily challenges. A guest minister accompanied by dance or song is the offering for Thursday, December 11.
The gem in the crowning event, the UMES Gospel Choir Concert, is when alumni of the choir join the current choir in song. The theme of the evening is "The Transition: The Fight of My Life." Doors open at 5.
Admission for each revival evening and the concert is free. For more information, call 410-651-6575 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
