Media Services Center
Purpose
The purpose of the Media Services Center is:
1. To organize and maintain a centralized campus Media Services Center suitable for use by faculty, staff and students.
2. To assist with selecting, planning, producing, and utilizing non-print media for classroom use.
3. To keep abreast of the latest technology in audio-visual equipment.
4. To instruct faculty, staff and students in the effective operation and use of audio-visual equipment.
Services
Interactive Video Network - University System of Maryland
Editing - 1/2" (VHS) format with limited assistance
Videotape and Audio Cassette Duplication - patrons provide a blank cassette and media adheres to existing copyright laws
Videotaping - UMES academic programs/historical events
Non-print Loans - videotapes, audio cassettes, slides, DVDs and compact discs
Equipment Loans - reserve equipment one week in advance

Equipment
In order for non-print materials to be utilized effectively to its maximum capacity, compatible equipment must be maintained for the user. At the present time the following equipment is located in the Media Services Center:
