Application Process and Guidelines for Professional Development Funds
Utilizing Faculty Development to Enhance the Learning Environment to Improve Student Success.
Title III Activity has available funds to enhance professional development. This activity requests Title III HBCU funds to promote faculty development aimed at enhancing the student learning environment and increasing faculty involvement in the science of teaching and learning. The goal is to produce a continuous cycle of inquiry, assessment, and revision in the teaching/learning process focused on improving student learning. Funds will be used to: (1) support on-campus workshops, (2) support faculty development for conferences, workshops and short courses, (3) support development of on-line courses, (4) enhance the Center for Instructional Technology (CIT), and (4) provide supplemental funding for course redesign efforts or course globalization efforts.
Complete the Request for Funds Form below. Please note, your form must be completed, signed with the appropriate signatures, and submitted to the Office of the Associate Vice-President two weeks before travel date. If you are seeking funds to travel internationally, you must submit your form at a minimum of three months in advance.
- Please read the guidelines carefully and be sure to include as part of the application all pertinent information that relates to your activity.
- If your request for funding is approved and you will be using your University Credit Card to make payment for funds that have been approved by Title III, you must complete a Title III visa prior approval.
- If you will be completing a requisition or any other form to process payment for funds that have been approved by Title III, please make sure you contact Dr. Sims-Tucker for the correct account number.
- All requisitions and forms must be sent to the Academic Affairs office for signature approval before going to Title III for Dr. McKinney’s signature.
