Faculty exhibit at UMES on display through Oct. 4
PRINCESS ANNE, MD – (Sept. 25, 2013)If you haven’t done so, be sure to visit the current exhibit in the Mosely Gallery, “Points of View,” featuring the varied art of faculty members at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. The free show closes on Oct. 4 making way for a Comic Show Oct. 11 through Nov. 8.
Eight faculty artists display artworks in various styles and media, including drawings, paintings, sculptures, photographs, ceramics and mixed media. The “Points of View” ascertained from the works show the artists’ motivation from creating art, Gallery Director Susan Holt, said.
“The annual faculty art show allows students to see how artists—their mentors—explore different perspectives and themes,” Holt said. “It allows the student to start cultivating their artist expressions.”
