Tickets On Sale Now To UMES Night Out at the Shorebirds
Event will be held in conjunction with College Colors Day.
PRINCESS ANNE, Md.—August 11, 2010-The Delmarva Shorebirds will play host the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) on September 3, when the campus celebrates College Colors Day at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. The event features a gathering of UMES friends, fans, alumni and students, all celebrating College Colors Day and the start of another great year at UMES.
Tickets are on sale now to the game at two levels. For just $30 fans can purchase a ticket that includes admission, All You Can Eat Ribs in the Hardball Café and a complimentary UMES College Colors Day shirt. The Hawk faithful can also purchase a general admission ticket to the game for just $5. Neither ticket includes parking. To purchase tickets contact G. Tickets are available only through the UMES Athletic Department and must by ordered and paid for by August 31.
The event is sponsored by the UMES Division of Institutional Advancement/Office of Alumni Affairs and the Office of Student Activities. All proceeds support UMES Athletics.
The game starts at 7:05 p.m. and is a Fireworks Night when Delmarva takes on the Augusta Greenjackets.
Fans are encouraged to wear their maroon and gray in support of College Colors Day or place an order for an official UMES College Colors Day t-shirt at the stadium. UMES Athletics will also have the 2010-11 Basketball Season Tickets on sale for the first time at the event.
In addition to the gathering of Hawks, the University will have informational tables set up from various departments with information and handouts.
College Colors Day is in its sixth year of existence and seeks to celebrate and promote the spirit that makes college traditions great by encouraging fans, alumni, and students to wear apparel of their favorite college throughout the day of Friday, September 3.
